GFMS Mining and Exploration Consulting's team includes geoscientists,
mining engineers, metals analysts, and economists. The key London
office team are assisted by a global network of highly experienced
consultants and support staff.

Richard Napier - Managing director

Richard has a PhD in Economic Geology and fifteen years experience
in a broad variety of projects and positions across the globe
in the mining and exploration sector. This includes advisory
services to investment banks, research services, investment
promotion, target evaluation & generation, exploration
model research and project management.

Philip Klapwijk - Director
philip.klapwijk@gfms.co.uk
Philip holds degrees in economics from the London School
of Economics and a Master’s degree from the College of
Europe in Bruges. Philip was appointed Group Economist at
Consolidated GoldFields in 1987, where he was responsible
for developing the group’s economic scenarios as well
as participating in the work for the annual Gold Survey. He
has worked for GFMS since 1989.

Paul Walker - Director
paul.walker@gfms.co.uk
After graduating with degrees in commerce and economics from
the University of Cape Town, Paul worked as a researcher in
the UK House of Commons before joining the International Lead
and Zinc Study Group, where he was involved in a wide range
of economic studies and forecasts. He also has a PhD in economics
from the University of Nottingham. Paul joined GFMS in 1995.
